Alphabet Nouns and gender Grammatical number

There are two grammatical genders: male and female.

The following is a rule (but there are many exceptions from this rule):

  • a noun ending with ה or ת is feminine;
  • the rest nouns are masculine;

Names of cities and countries are feminine.
