Imperfect of regular verbs is formed by adding a prefix and a suffix to a three-letter root. For regular verbs it like the following for the verb כתב (to write):
person | gender | singular | plural |
---|---|---|---|
3rd | masculine | יכתב | יכתבו |
feminine | תכתב | תכתבנה | |
2nd | masculine | תכתב | תכתבו |
feminine | תכתבי | תכתבנה | |
1st | אכתב | נכתב |
1st, sing. sometimes end with ה (see Gen. 18:30).
נה may also signify the particle נה may written together with the verb.
