Translation of Genesis 6:13

God said to Noah: end of every flesh came before me, because the Earth is full of evil from their face and behold I am destroying them with the Earth.

Comments

Victor Porton supposes that "the Earth" here means just Eurasia, what explains that Kengooro didn't need to reach Australia after the flood.

New Testament (??reference) says that the flood is an image of baptism. It can be supposed that this refers rather to baptising with Holy Spirit, which wipes evil ("flesh") from the body of a human. The thing to note is that this form of baptism is a destructive act, wiping out the old nature of a human.

Analyzing of information presented on this page is complete. That is, all variants of translation were considered carefully. No warranty however, that nothing is missing.
