Translation of Genesis 1:3

1. God said "(let) it will be light" and light appeared.

2. God said my Jah (is) light and my Jah (is) light.

Comments

1. It is unlikely that light (electromagnetic waves) did not exist before Genesis 1:3. After all electromagnetic forces keep atoms of the Earth from gravitational collapsing.

So it is fit this explanation: The surface of the Earth was dark according to Genesis 1:2. And saying "light appeared" means that it became lighter on the surface of the Earth.

2. Christ calls himself "light of the World": (Jn. 8:12) “... Jesus spoke to them, saying, “I am the light of the world...”” and (Jn. 9:5) “While I am in the world, I am the light of the world.”

Jah my mean Christ in this context. It is said that Christ is light (that is electromagnetic radiation). See this article by Victor Porton for more info about Christ being electromagnetic waves.
