===Comments===

'''Gilead, your town commits idolatry, corruption and blood''' Gilead was steeped in heinous activities and violence.  The pollutions of Gilead were located in the lands that were promised as an inheritance to the Tribes of Israel.  Gilead would eventually be cleaned for a while and the territory would be returned to the rightful ownersNow, the world waits for this to happen again, quite possibly and hopefully for the last time.
My commentary:
The land of Gilead is wrought with idolatrous sacrifices and this angers the Most HighHis anger over idolatrous and lawless deeds is expressed in Hosea's oracle more than once.
