Previous Next
Translation of Genesis 3:8
"you are cursed from all beasts and all livings of the field" = "you are more cursed than any beasts and all livings of the field".

Translation of Genesis 3:15
I will make enmity between you and the woman, and between your descendant and her descendant. He will bruise head, and you will bruise our feet.

"you will bruise our feet" = "you will bruise back" (as a consequence).
Comments
From Gen. 3:13 it is clear that Eve has understood that she did wrong (the serpent has deceived her). Probably she has understood that her state has become worse, see also Theology:Fall_of_the_man.

It is a quite natural punishment for the serpent-shaped alien: His punishment is that he must go outside of the garden and never return to his own planet suffering co-existence with animals of the Earth ("to be cursed from every animal").

The word "descendant" is in singular form. So (see Galatians 3:16), it refers to Jesus Christ.
