Translation of Genesis 3:24

He sent out the man and settled him at the east of the garden Eden (and placed) cherubs and a flame weapon turning every direction to guard the way of the tree of life.

Comments

It seems that cherubs are aliens specializing as warriors.

The "weapon" here is some plasma weapon which automatically turns to the direction of the target and hits it, so not allowing anything to enter the garden of Eden.

Why was sending a man out from the garden was so important that it has given a full time job to some cherubs?

"Way of the tree of life" sounds very pathetic. What may it mean?
