2. Christ calls himself "light of the World": (Jn. 8:12) “... Jesus spoke to them, saying, “I am the light of the world...”” and (Jn. 9:5) “While I am in the world, I am the light of the world.”
Jah my may mean Christ in this context. It is said that Christ is light (that is electromagnetic radiation). See [http://endofgospel.org/docs/god-as-civilization.html this article] by [[User:Victor Porton|Victor Porton]] for more info about Christ being electromagnetic waves.
However, if "the heavens and the earth" are a merism and the Lord is telling us how he created everything, as He insists in Exodus 20: "for in six days I made the heavens, the earth, the sea, and all that is in them...", then there is no "planet Earth" yet and when the Creator said ,"יהי אור" He was in fact calling the weak and strong nuclear forces, and electromagnetism into being. If this is the beginning, then this is when that had to happen. {{FinishedFinishedSpacesHypothesis}}
